SUMMER SHOWCASE RECAP - 05.08.17

Flames prospect Adam Fox closed out his tenure at the 2017 World Junior Summer Showcase in fine fashion, posting one goal and five points in a 7-5 USA win over Canada.
In five games at the tournament, the defenceman netted three goals and nine points. Fox, the Flames' third round pick in the 2016 NHL Draft, is expected to take on a top-pairing role for the Americans at the 2018 IIHF World Junior Championship.

Forward Dillon Dube, Calgary's second round pick in 2016, dressed for Canada on Sunday afternoon. He had three shots on net in the setback. Dube dressed for three games at the World Junior Summer Showcase, picking up one assist.
Winger Matthew Phillips, a sixth round pick in 2016, did not play in Sunday's game. The 19-year-old scored three goals in three games at the tournament.
Finland and Sweden also faced off on Sunday, with Flames prospects Juuso Valimaki and Linus Lindstrom in the lineup for their respective countries. In the 6-5 Swedish win, Finnish defenceman Valimaki was credited with two shots and forward Lindstrom assisted on the game-winning goal in overtime.
Valimaki, the Flames' first round pick in 2017, had one assist in five skates. Lindstrom, Calgary's fourth round selection in 2016, had one goal and three points in four games at the tournament.
Forward Eetu Tuulola did not dress for Finland. The winger, who was drafted in the sixth round in 2016, was held pointless in three games.
