STOCKTON, CA -- The Stockton Heat, proudly owned by the NHL’s Calgary Flames, announce that the AHL’s leading goal scorer, Derek Grant, will be out indefinitely after fracturing his jaw during Monday’s practice.

In addition to Grant’s injury, Flames prospects Oliver Kylington and Hunter Smith continue to be sidelined and are day-to-day with upper body injuries while Bill Arnold continues to be week-to-week with a lower body injury. Heat captain Aaron Johnson is also out of the lineup with an upper body injury and is listed as day-to-day.

The Heat continue on the road in Bakersfield tonight but return home on February 13 and 14 to host the Ontario Reign and San Antonio Rampage. It’s Emile Poirier bobblehead night on Saturday, February 13 where the first 500 children 12-years and younger will receive a bobblehead featuring the Calgary Flames first round pick in 2013 and on Sunday, February 14, the first 1,000 fans will receive a team photo featuring the inaugural season’s opening night roster.
