Sonne leads Hitmen over Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. - Brett Sonne scored twice and added an assist to lead the Calgary Hitmen over the Portland Winter Hawks 5-1 in Western Hockey League action Friday night.

Sonne scored his second on a power play to put Calgary up 3-1 in the third period. The Hitmen (25-4-1-1) also got goals from Chase Schaber, Bostjan Golicic, and Brandon Kozun. Kyle Bortis both added three assists.

Jonathon Milhouse had the lone reply for Portland (8-22-0-0).

Calgary goalie Michael Snider made 22 saves, while Kurtis Mucha stopped 44 shots for the Winter Hawks.
