The Flames had a busy week on the ice, playing four times over the past week, and CalgaryFlames.com has recapped it from a social media perspective!
History was made last Sunday when the Flames won their 11th straight game at the Scotibank Saddledome, a new franchise record.
Understandably, the C of Red was pretty excited for a) set a new franchise record and b) do so against the Edmonton Oilers.
Prior to the game starting, Jiri Hudler worked on his goaltending moves, denying Corey Perry a cross-ice shot into the empty-net during warm-ups.
The C of Red was buzzing, hoping to push the franchise-record winning streak to 12 games.
Unfortunately, the home winning streak ended on Tuesday when the Flames were shutout 1-0 by the Ducks.
The Flames last game in 2015 didn't go as they would have liked, falling 4-1 to the LA Kings.
To cap off the night, fans in attendance were treated to a fireworks display in the 'Dome!
The boys got back on track in Denver on Saturday, shutting out the Avs 4-0 at the Pepsi Center!
Not only did they collect the win, keeping themselves within striking distance of a playoff spot in the Pacific Division, they also held former Flames captain Jarome Iginla from scoring his 600th NHL goal.
Josh Jooris, a healthy scratch in the last four games, returned to the lineup and had an immediate impact. The forward scored a goal, two points, and was a plus-two on the night.
His teammates rewarded him by awarding him the fire helmet after the game.
The Flames will play their next four games at the 'Dome, starting on Tuesday when the Tampa Bay Lightning are in town.
