RASMUS ANDERSSON'S THOUGHTS:

ON GENERATING OFFENCE:

"I think we've (had) too many turnovers. I feel like once we get through the neutral zone and we get to the blueline and the top of the circle, we turn the puck over and it's a 3-on-2 back and that's happening quite a bit. ... I feel like we've been better at getting shots through, but we need more of a presence to create a little chaos in there. We have it in some areas, and in some areas it's not there. But I think we're not clean enough off the rush, honestly."

"It's not one, two guys, it's everyone"

MILAN LUCIC ON HOW THE GAME TURNED:

"We played exactly like how we wanted to play to start the second and were able to score a goal and cut the lead in half. Those are momentum-changers and you want to use those to your (advantage). But it feels like it was a little deflating after the third goal and especially the fourth goal. You see teams around the league being able to come back from deficits and for whatever reason this year, we haven't been able to. We've got to find things to build off no matter what the score is. ... But we can't let a goal suck the life out of us the way it has recently."

ON SCORING CHANCES:

"I know when you lose 6-1, it's hard to justify it, but we had our chances to score tonight as well to get ourselves back in it. It doesn't always have to be pretty. it's got to be around the net, jamming the net, getting in the goalie's eyes and stuff like that. That needs to improve for us to get some finish in our game and when you're not scoring, you're not as confident in those scoring areas like when you are and everything is going in for you. It starts in practice tomorrow and we've got to bring it Saturday afternoon."

GEOFF WARD ON HOW THE GAME PLAYED OUT:

"When we looked at this part of the schedule before the season even started, we looked at it as a real tough part of it. Five games in seven nights, with travel. The last couple of games in Toronto, I think there was a little emotion involved in it. ... We knew Ottawa was playing really well. They were playing with a lot of emotion, a lot of energy, and they did tonight. There was nothing on the ice that we didn't expect tonight. It's a combination of factors, but I think the part of the schedule, the emotional aspect of the last two games in Toronto led to a letdown tonight. It was enough. We got the game to 2-1, it was still there - the third goal, that was a little bit tough. The fourth one, from outside the blueline, that one was really - when you're at that point down 4-1 like that, it's difficult to climb the hill and it certainly was tonight."
