MARK GIORDANO ON FACING CANUCKS AGAIN:

ON PLAYING A TEAM BACK-TO-BACK:

"You know what, I think it's easy to get up for these games, playing all rivals, basically. Even the teams like Toronto and Ottawa, who we didn't see a lot last year - and Montreal comes to mind as well - there's a lot of atmosphere, you know it's a big deal for the fans. It's really easy to get up for games. Doc said it best - you have to flush games and start again with the next one. It's not going to feel like Groundhog Day to us. Every game is Hockey Night in Canada, basically."

ON MICHAEL STONE EARNING A CONTRACT:

"Great to see. Stoney has been with us here working hard all off-season and he's put in the time. To see him get rewarded is obviously great. He's a guy who can really step into your lineup and play any position on the backend, and he's proven that. He's a very valuable piece on the ice and off the ice, he's a great guy, too. It's nice to see him get rewarded with a contract."

ON ANNIVERSARY OF CANUCKS BRAWL:

"My first thought was, 'Wow, that was seven years ago already?!' We were on the road, we called up our lineup and put our fourth line out there. We had some tough guys - (Brian) McGrattan, (Kevin) Westgarth. Didn't really expect much of anything to happen until they started lining up and you could see something was brewing. It was a huge moment to be a part of and it really brought our team together. It was pretty different, but I think a lot of people knew where it was coming from. There's a rivalry there and sometimes that stuff happens."

DEREK RYAN ON HAVING A FRESH MINDSET:

"Now, when you're playing teams multiple times in a row, it's all the more important to flush that first one. ... It's a matter of getting ready for that next game - similar to a playoff series. It's a brand-new, fresh slate for the next game. I think teams that will have the most success are the ones that will be able to do that."

GEOFF WARD ON RASMUS ANDERSSON ON PP1:

"You'll be setting the one-time shot up more so from the other side. But I think with the left shot set up in the slot, he's shooting from the top, it's easier to get on Sean's tape - on his forehand. I think that's an easier play to make. Also, when you have a left-shot on the goal line, it's a lot easier to get that puck back up for a shot at the blueline."

"We try to keep it simple"

ON J.T. MILLER RETURNING FOR VANCOUVER:

"He's a really good player. I think he's going to bring energy to their lineup. He's going to give every guy a boost. ... We expect Vancouver to an awful lot better. They would be better without him in, but with him, they're going to be much better than that."
