Red-hot Hitmen down Swift Current

SWIFT CURRENT, Sask. - Carson McMillan's goal midway through the second period led the Calgary Hitmen to a 2-1 win over the Swift Current Broncos on Tuesday night in the Western Hockey League.

Brett Sonne had the other goal for the Hitmen (18-4-1-0), who have won five in a row. The goal gave Sonne a team-high 32 points (11 goals, 21 assists) on the season.

Geordie Wudrick's goal in the final minute of the first period provided the lone offence for the Broncos (14-8-0-0), who dropped their third game in a row.

Martin Jones earned his 12th win of the season with a 23-save performance for Calgary.
