A rundown on what was discussed this morning at the Scotiabank Saddledome

On facing the LA Kings:

"Their game never changes, that's what makes them such a good hockey club. They are the best north south team we play." - Glen Gulutzan

"It's always fun playing against these guys. It's a huge game for us." - Johnny Gaudreau

"We've got a good LA team coming in here, a big four-point game and for myself, it's (about) making an impact. I want to be in there, play assertive and have some fun." - Curtis Lazar

On not focusing on next week's schedule:

"We're just looking at these guys tonight. It's going to be another good hockey game." - Gulutzan

"We have a big road trip coming up, but we have to worry about this first game." - Gaudreau

"We're really trying to be focused on us and our game. When you start looking around too much those can be distractions. Our players have done a good job in keeping it isolated on a nightly basis." - Gulutzan

Darryl Sutter on Jarome Iginla:

"It's been fun for me, kind of the whole cycle … you of seeing older players, former players, guys who coached."

"I've done it a few times in the last few years. Got Robyn Regehr back and he was able to go to a conference final and win a Stanley Cup."

"It's refreshing to see how those players, seeing them with their families. Same thing with Jarome now. Nice to see him play meaningful games at this stage of his career."

"He's going to be 40 in July. Obviously I wish he was 28."
