A rundown on what was discussed during this morning's media availability

by ALEX MEDINA @alex_medina5 /

On the mindset for Game 4:

"The message is belief. All of us still believe but you have to try and hammer that home. We looked at the way we played and the series as a whole, the series has been separated by three goals. It's one game at a time, we have to chip away and hopefully build momentum off of it. We don't want to get in the trying too much mode. We need to play with desperation and urgency. You look at it game-by-game shift-by-shift. Do a lot of things that we've been doing." - Mark Giordano

"Belief is an extremely powerful weapon and we've had it on our team all season long. We pulled ourselves out of holes earlier on and put ourselves in a playoff spot. It's one thing we have written in this room and one thing that guys truly want to emphasize on. We want to keep playing hockey and be on the flight tomorrow to Anaheim. In order to make that happen, we need to win tonight. If you let doubt creep into your mind, you're going to beat yourself." - Troy Brouwer

"It's Game 4, we focus on one. You really just focus on the next shift ahead of you and take those baby steps. That's how you build momentum. In playoffs, momentum is such a dangerous thing to get rolling and you're hard to stop when you have it. We don't look too far ahead." - Curtis Lazar

On Lazar and Hamilton drawing in:

"It'll add a spark and some extra energy. I know the guys haven't gotten into a game for a little while but they're excited and they've been great teammates and great pros during the process. They've been waiting for an opportunity to get in and hopefully we can draw off of their enthusiasm tonight." - Brouwer

"It's an energy thing, we're down three. They're two players who have played pretty good games when they've come in, they provide good energy and speed. Mentally it's a change as well, it's two guys who are not down 3-0 in the series. They're trying to stay in the line-up each and every night and it's just a change-up." - Glen Gulutzan

"It's a different look to get some energy. I think all of our guys have played great, we've had energy from all our lines and this time of year it's to shake things up to get a fresh set of legs in there." - Giordano

Lazar on playing in Game 4

"I just need to stick to my strengths and try and not do too much. For myself it's to play a solid physical game and keep the fans in it for the full 60 minutes. There's momentum swings in the game and there's a little bit of bleeding out there, if we can try and stop that then that would be great. I'm excited to get out here in front of the home crowd, they're very passionate. I just need to do my part, play a north-south game out there and have some fun."

Gulutzan on team morale

"You could see that yesterday they were down and rightfully so, it's a natural emotion for guys. By the end of yesterday you could see that they started to come back and you want that. When you don't get the result and you're down in the series, it's a natural tendency on not knowing how to react. We need to get our swagger back and come out with the same game on the table for a longer period of time. Our mindset and preparation is going to be very important."
