QUOTABLES - FLAMES @ PANTHERS

A rundown from this morning's media availability in Sunrise

by TORIE PETERSON @ToriePeterson / CalgaryFlames.com

On facing the Panthers:

"They've got a couple of their younger guys back. I think Barkov and Huberdeau are both back so that provides a lot more skill on their team. A dynamic team as well, well-rounded. So we're going to have to have everybody doing what they do ... everyone is going to have a tough match-up tonight. Coming off a back-to-back, we're going to have to play a simple game. I thought we did a real good job through the neutral zone yesterday, slowing a very quick team down, and making sure we weren't taking too many chances with the puck. There's going to be turnovers over the course of the game but we limited those and tonight it's another team that likes to work off the rush. If can make them break out from their zone rather than transition through the neutral zone, it's going to benefit us." - Troy Brouwer

Glen Gulutzan on Chad Johnson getting the start:

"I think with the congestion of the games ... it sets up well. If I look back on our history and the way we've done things - New Jersey, Edmonton, played Ells' in Edmonton - it sets up well for Johnny."

On the atmosphere around the team during the stretch drive:

"Guys are playing hard because they know what's at stake right now. We're trying to put ourselves in a good spot to be the playoffs. Wins now are obviously going to help. I think these big games, you're seeing the best out of our team right now and you're seeing guys contribute all over the ice. They may not be scoring goals all the time - Boums blocking shots, things like that - but everyone is doing what they need to do to win. I think this far into the season, everyone's role is really defined for them and guys are playing to them." - Brouwer

Sean Monahan on his 100th NHL goal:

"I play with a lot of great players ... I've been getting a lot of opportunities since my first day here in Calgary. When you play power play and play in big situations, you've got to put up numbers and put the puck in the net or you're not going to get that. When you're playing well as a team, as a group, that's usually when you get individual success and I think that's what we're doing right now."

"That was a big goal there and to come out with the win and to have my mom there, it was pretty cool. It's a nice little vacation here in Florida for my mom and to get another win tonight would be huge."
