Prospect spotlight: Bill Arnold

Hockey East announced that Bill Arnold of the Boston College Eagles was the Hockey East Rookie of the Week January 3.

The 18-year-old broke a 4-4 tie with an unassisted shorthanded goal in the third period of the team's 6-5 win over Colgate (Dec. 30) in the opening game of the four-team Ledyard National Bank Classic at Dartmouth College in Hanover, N.H.

The Eagles defeated Mercyhurst 4-1 in the championship game the next night to capture the Ledyard Classic title.

Arnold, a Needham, Mass. resident, has played in all 21 BC games and has recorded nine points - five goals and four assists.
