After missing seven games with an injury, Hunter Smith returned to the Oshawa Generals lineup on Jan. 27 and immediately had an impact.
In four games last week, the hulking winger put up six points and pushed his season total to 36 points in 41 games played.
On Jan. 27, Smith scored two goals and picked up one assist in the Generals third period rally against the Ottawa 67's. Oshawa went on to win 5-4 in overtime and Smith was named the game's second star.
On Jan. 30, Smith was once again named the second star of the game when he registered two assists in a 5-4 setback to the Peterborough Petes.
The 19-year-old finished off the week by recording his 18th assist of the season, a primary helper on a Michael Dal Colle power play marker, in a 3-2 setback to the Kingston Frontenacs.
The Flames selected Smith in the second round (54th overall) of the 2014 NHL Draft.
