Brandon Hickey had a milestone weekend with the Boston University Terriers, registering his first collegiate goal in 4-2 victory over Merrimack on Dec. 6.
The Edmonton, AB product also picked up an assist in Boston University's 1-1 tie with Merrimack on Dec. 5.
Hickey, a freshman, now leads the Terriers defence corps in scoring with one goal and eight points through 15 games this season. He has put 35 shots on net this year, which ranks second amongst Boston University blueliners.
He is tied for seventh in Hockey East freshman scoring.
The Flames selected Hickey in the third round (64th overall) of the 2014 NHL Draft. Prior to heading to Boston University, he spent two seasons with the Spruce Grove Saints of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL). Hickey was the first player drafted out of the AJHL last summer.
