Flames head coach Bill Peters confirmed Tobias Rieder will make his Flames debut this evening when the club hosts the Vancouver Canucks in the Scotiabank Home Opener.
Rieder inked a one-year deal with the Flames after attending training camp on a professional try-out agreement. The 26-year-old has played 379 games in his NHL career, scoring 55 goals and 128 points.
