SAN JOSE - Changes are coming.
Head coach Bill Peters confirmed at his morning press briefing that forward Austin Czarnik and defenceman Oliver Kylington will both draw into the lineup tonight as the Flames take on the San Jose Sharks in the finale of a three-game road trip (TV: Sportsnet One/360; Radio: Sportsnet 960 THE FAN).
There's currently no word on who's coming out.
"We're going to finalize the lines [right now]," the coach said following a powerplay meeting at the team hotel earlier this morning.
Meanwhile, Cam Talbot will get the nod between the pipes and make his official Flames debut after signing a one-year deal in the off-season.
His last appearance was a 24-save 'shutout' in 40 minutes of work, two-and-a-half weeks ago, in this very same city. In three pre-season accounts, Talbot had a .902 save percentage and a 2.80 goals-against average.
Following a late-night arrival into Oakland, Calif., the Flames did not a holding skate. The following forward line combinations and D pairs are how the Flames finished last night's game in Las Vegas:
