VANCOUVER - Geoff Ward wants to see more goals from his suddenly snake-bit squad.
The team has struggled to score of late and to that end, the Flames interim coach has reunited the line of Johnny Gaudreau, Sean Monahan and Elias Lindholm hoping to give them a kickstart.
The trio skated together Saturday morning ahead of tonight's tilt with the Canucks.
"Well, we just felt like some old familiarity might help with some of the scoring woes we've been having lately," said Ward. "We'll take a look at it and see what they can do. They are comfortable with each other and hopefully the chemistry they had last year will comeback quickly for us."
Oliver Kylington, who missed last game, will draw back into the lineup, while David Rittich will get the start between the pipes.
Recent call-up Buddy Robinson will be a scratch.
Below are the expected line and d-pairings against Vancouver:
Johnny Gaudreau - Sean Monahan - Elias Lindholm
Andrew Mangiapane - Mikael Backlund - Matthew Tkachuk
Milan Lucic - Derek Ryan - Dillon Dube
Tobias Rieder - Mark Jankowski - Sam Bennett
TJ Brodie - Travis Hamonic
Noah Hanifin - Rasmus Andersson
Oliver Kylington - Michael Stone
Tonight's game starts at 8:00 p.m. MT on Hockey Night In Canada.
