SEASON SERIES: In the first three games of their five-game season set against the Vancouver Canucks, the Calgary Flames have a 1-1-1 record. They are coming off a 4-2 setback on Friday, which saw Michael Frolik score both goals in Vancouver. The Flames outshot the Canucks 46-13 in the loss.

CANUCKS' TEAM SCOPE: The Canucks head into Saturday's match-up on a six-game winning streak. With their recent surge, they have moved into the second Wildcard spot in the Western Conference with a 20-18-3 record and 43 points. Goaltender Ryan Miller, who made 44 saves on Friday, has a 12-10-1 record with a 2.62 GAA and a .915 save percentage. Jacob Markstrom holds a 8-8-2 record with a 2.60 GAA and a .913 save percentage.

FLAMES' TEAM SCOPE: Calgary is holding onto the first Western Wildcard spot with a 21-18-2 record and 44 points. In last night's loss, Mikael Backlund and Matthew Tkachuk extended their point streaks with assists on Frolik's first period power play goal. Backlund has six goals and 10 points in his six-game streak while Tkachuk has one goal and nine points through his eight-game streak. With Elliott getting the start on Friday, Chad Johnson may get the nod in net. Johnson has a 13-8-1 record with a 2.34 GAA and a .920 save percentage.
