SEASON SERIES: The Flames have won the first two contests in their three-game season series with the Colorado Avalanche, outscoring them 10-4. Mikael Backlund and Johnny Gaudreau lead the Flames with three goals and four points against the Avalanche this year. Sean Monahan netted the game-winner with just 2.5 seconds remaining in the extra frame and is now the Flames' leader in regular season overtime goals with seven. Monahan has 25 goals and 52 points on the year and has registered six points in his last four skates. Elliott continues to be a pillar of strength in net, going 13-1-1 and posting a 1.84 GAA and a .938 save percentage in his last 15 starts. During that stretch, he has two shutouts.
