SEASON SERIES: This is the final contest in a two-game season series between the Flames and the Blues. The two faced off on Saturday in Calgary, with the Blues coming away with a 6-4 victory. Blues winger David Perron scored a hat trick in the match-up. St. Louis also received goals from Paul Stastny, Patrik Berglund and Alexander Steen. On the Flames side, Kris Versteeg scored his first two goals as a Flame on Saturday night while Micheal Ferland and Mark Giordano also found the back of the net. Chad Johnson got the start in net vs. the Blues, making 34 saves in the setback.

FLAMES TEAM SCOPE: The Flames are playing their second game in as many nights. On Monday, they picked up their second win of the season in Chicago, defeating the Blackhawks 3-2 in a shootout. Brian Elliott was named the first star of the game, making 31 saves on 33 shots and denying all seven Blackhawks shooters in the shootout. Sam Bennett and Sean Monahan helped the Flames break out out of their power play slump, scoring both of Calgary's regulation-time goals with the man advanage. Versteeg netted the shootout winner, deking around Corey Crawford and tucking it around his left pad. The win gives the Flames a 2-4-1 record with five points on the year. They sit fifth in the Pacific Division and are one point shy of third-place San Jose.

BLUES TEAM SCOPE: The Blues have had two days in between games, with their last contest coming on Saturday in Calgary. With a 4-1-1 record, they are currently the Central Division leaders with nine points on the year. Alexander Steen leads the team in scoring with two goals and seven points. Vladimir Tarasenko leads the Blues with four goals through six games played. Jake Allen has handled the bulk of the goaltender responsibilities, going 3-1-1 in his five appearances. He holds a 2.39 GAA and a .896 save percentage early on in the season.
