Tnias Mathurin - LHD - North Bay Battalion (OHL)

NHL Central Scouting Final Ranking: 126 (North American skaters)
The Battalion rookie plays a bit of an old-school style, acting as a shutdown defenceman and stabilizing the play when it's in his own end. At 6-foot-3 and 200-lb., he's not shy to play a physical brand of hockey either, punishing his opponents when they come in on the forecheck. While offence isn't his calling card - he put up 15 points in 44 regular-season games and four points in 13 playoff outings - he does own a hard slap shot and has the potential to elevate his production, especially on the powerplay.

LiamSteele

Liam Steele - RHD - Stanstead College (CAHS)

NHL Central Scouting Final Ranking: 171 (North American skaters)
Steele's development path is unique, playing minor hockey in England before making the move over to North America with Stanstead College. In 30 games this year, the 6-foot-6, 216-lb. defender led the team's defenders in scoring with 30 points. He's extremely creative with the puck and can generate plenty of chances on a nightly basis. He also skated with England's U18 and U20 teams this past year. In the fall, he's headed to the BCHL's Chilliwack Chiefs.

Rayan Bettahar - LHD - Swift Current Broncos (WHL)

NHL Central Scouting Final Ranking: 188 (North American skaters)
Bettahar brings an old school, physical style to the mix for Swift Current, throwing hits whenever he can and bearing down on his opponents when they enter the zone. The aggressive tenacity to his game is apparent every time he steps onto the ice and while the 2021-22 season saw him adjusting to playing in North America, the coaches in Swift Current can always depend on him to bring plenty of energy every single shift. Prior to joining the Broncos - after being selected fifth overall in the 2021 CHL Import Draft - he played in Germany for Jungadler Mannheim.

Noah Warren - RHD - Gatineau Olympiques (QMJHL)

NHL Central Scouting Final Ranking: 33 (North American skaters)
At 6-foot-5 and 214-lb., you'll immediately notice Warren on the ice. He's not afraid to use his size, playing a physical brand of hockey, but doesn't over-extend and put himself out of position just to make a hit. That calmness and poise he brings to the game allows him to slow the pace down and let his teammates regroup when needed. His strength comes from his defensive play but he has shown flashes of offensive upside, including a 24-point regular season in Gatineau.

TomasHamara

Tomas Hamara - LHD - Tappara (Liiga)

NHL Central Scouting Final Ranking: 21 (European skaters)
The Finnish blueliner brings a little of everything to the table: he can chip in offensively thanks to strong playmaking and puck skills, he's a strong skater who has high-end top speed, and he's very useful in transition. That strong two-way game earned him playing time in Finland's Liiga this past year. He split the season between Tappara's U20 squad, where he put up 25 points in 32 games, and their professional team, suiting up for 24 games against men and jumping into two playoff games. Earlier this year, he was selected 26th overall by the Kitchener Rangers in the CHL Import Draft.
