Flames Players Dustin Boyd, Brandon Prust and Adam Pardy along with Harvey the Hound joined more than 500 people at Calgary’s Chaparral Community Rink to battle in a friendly game of shinny with Atom minor hockey teams.

Following two 45 minute games of shinny, players signed autographs for the youth participants and community spectators.

“It’s a great program for us to participate in with minor hockey players and a fun evening for the players too,” says Flames centre Dustin Boyd.

Pond Hockey by ENMAX Energy gives kids the chance to skate with hockey celebrities and learn game enhancing skills in pursuit of their hockey dreams.

Community residents, friends and family share in the experience of drinking hot chocolates provided by Good Earth Cafes and cheer on their community hockey kids as they take on the Calgary Flames.

The Calgary Flames are proud to partner with Enmax Energy in the 10th season of this community initiative in support of grassroots hockey.

This program continues to play an important role in the development of young hockey players throughout Southern Alberta.
