Flames prospect Jeremie Poirier has been named to the 2022-23 AHL All-Rookie Team as he closes out his tremendous first regular season with the Calgary Wranglers.
Calgary's third round pick in the 2020 NHL Draft, Poirier currently has nine goals and 41 points through 66 games, ranking him second in rookie scoring among AHL blueliners. He's put 164 shots on net, which leads all rookie defencemen in the league, and has been involved in four shootouts this season, scoring on all four attempts.
Prior to turning pro, Poirier spent four seasons with the Saint John Sea Dogs where he amassed 168 points in 225 career regular season games and captured a Memorial Cup in 2022, scoring three points in four games at the tournament.

Poirier, along with his fellow AHL All-Rookie team members, will receive a custom-deisgned crystal award in recognition of his selection.
