Throughout the 2005-06 regular season www.calgaryflames.com will sit down one-on-one with players and have a little fun while finding out a little more about the player on a personal side.
Defenceman Robyn Regehr was acquired from the Colorado Avalanche as part of the trade that sent Theo Fleury to the Colorado Avalanche in 1999. At the time Regehr was playing for Kamloops in the Western Hockey League but had been drafted in the first round by the Avs in 1998.
A rugged player who can punish opponents, Regehr has blossomed into the defencemen the Flames expected when they traded Fleury, a fan favourite who sits atop the Flames all-time scoring list.
Regehr missed the start of the 2005-06 season with an injury to his right knee. He returned to action on Nov. 3 vs. Columbus after missing 14 games.
