Defenceman Mark Giordano, a native of Toronto, ON, made his NHL debut Jan. 30 in St. Louis after being called up from Calgary's farm team, the Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights. He was recalled most recently on April 7.
Giordano played in all 73 games with Omaha this season posting a team leading 58 points, including 16 goals and 42 assists and 141 penalty minutes. He is also the only two players to appear in all 73 games with the club. He currently sits first on the Ak-Sar-Ben Knights in points (58), first in assists (42), third in goals (16), third in penalty minutes and second in power play goals (12).

If you weren't a hockey player, what would you be doing?
Giordano: I would probably be a police officer or firefighter.
It's a Saturday night and you're not playing hockey. What would you be doing?
Giordano: Either going out with some friends and having a little bit of fun or sitting at home and watching Hockey Night In Canada.
What's your favourite food?

Giordano: You got me there. I always watch sports, but CSI is good.
What was the first car you owned?
Giordano: A Mazda MX-6 ('93)
Which pro athlete would you most like to spend time with?
Giordano: I really like football, so Brett Favre (quarterback) from the Green Bay Packers because I'm a huge football fan and really like the Green Bay Packers and he's been there forever.
If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Giordano: I heard Switzerland is a great country, so I wouldn't mind going there. Somewhere in Europe though.
You have a few hours to kill. Do you read a book or play a video game?
Giordano: Play a video game. Probably NHL '06 or Madden '06.

Worst job you've ever had?
Giordano: The worst job I've ever had would be working construction back in Toronto (building houses with my uncle).
