by Staff Writer / Calgary Flames

Throughout the 2005-06 regular season will sit down one-on-one with players and have a little fun while finding out a little more about the player on a personal side.

Forward Chuck Kobasew, a native of Osoyoos, B.C., has been on fire this season, recording 23 points and registering his first NHL career hat trick Jan. 24 in Colorado. The 23-year old sits eighth on the Flames in points and third in goals with 16, not far behind Daymond Langkow.

During the lockout, Kobasew made his way to Lowell to play for the Lock Monsters, where he was on top of his game more than ever. In 79 games with Lowell, the speedy forward posted 75 points, including 38 goals and 37 assists.

He set a new single season team record with 37 goals and led the AHL with 12 GW goals.

Chuck Kobasew 's Bio

Here's our question and answer with Kobasew.

Pick one word to describe yourself?

Kobasew: Organized.

If you weren't a hockey player, what would you be doing?

Kobasew: I'd like to be a golfer, but I'm not sure what the chances of that would be. I like music. I'm not good at playing music, but I enjoy music. So I'd probably try and be in a band or be a golfer or something like that.

It's a Saturday night and you're not playing hockey. What would you be doing?

Kobasew: Hanging out with the guys or hanging out with friends in Calgary and maybe go for dinner.

What's your favourite food?

Kobasew: Sushi.

What's your favourite Calgary Restaurant?

Kobasew: The Living Room.

Who is your favourite band right now?

Kobasew: Nickelback.

What is your favourite television show?

Kobasew: 24.

What was the first car you owned?

Kobasew: A Chevy pick-up truck. It was black (early 90's).

Which pro athlete would you most like to spend time with?

Kobasew: I'd say either Tiger Woods or Lance Armstrong. I like golf and just the things Tiger has done. He's such a great athlete and then Lance to see what he's gone through and his fight with cancer and just the way he battles everyday to be the best cycler in the world.

If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would it be?

Kobasew: Probably somewhere over in Europe. I've been over there a couple of times and I liked the experience. I've been to Sweden and the Czech Republic and they're nice places.

You have a few hours to kill. Do you read a book or play a video game?

Kobasew: Neither. Probably surf the internet or something like that. I like to be on the computer.

Playstation or X-Box?

Kobasew: Playstation.

Worst job you've ever had?

Kobasew: Picking fruit in my dad's orchard. I would help him out during the summer time (from age 10 to 15).
