DALLAS -With the 167th overall selection at the 2018 NHL Draft, the Flames have selected forward Mathias Emilio Pettersen from the Muskegon Lumberjacks of the USHL.
The Norwegian suited up for 60 games with the Lumberjacks last year, scoring 14 goals and 46 points. In 2016-17, he played for Omaha in the USHL, scoring 10 goals and 27 points in 57 skates.
Pettersen is committed to the University of Denver.
