1 In the 2013-14 season, Elson won the Kelly Cup with the Alaska Aces (ECHL). He had played 37 games with the Abbotsford Heat before being assigned to Alaska. He had seven goals and 11 points in 21 playoff games that year.
1 After going undrafted in 2011, the Flames had Elson attend development camp and training camp. He signed his first professional contract with the team that fall.
