The Blues opened the scoring 48 seconds into the game with Joakim Lindstrom tapping a Paul Stastny pass past Jonas Hiller. They ended up with a 2-0 lead after 20:00 thanks to a David Backes power play marker.
The Blues added two more goals to their total in the second period, giving them a 4-0 lead through 40:00.
Deryk Engelland and Barret Jackman dropped the gloves in the third period. It was the first Flames fight of the year.
Curtis Glencross got the Flames on the board late in the third period with a power play goal. It was his first of the 2014-15 season.
With his assist on Glencross' tally, Mark Giordano extended his point streak to three games.
TJ Brodie led the Flames with four shots on net. He also led Calgary skaters in ice time with 22:20. Brodie notched an assist on the Flames lone goal.
