CALGARY, AB -- Calgary Flames prospect Mason McDonald has been named to Team QMJHL for the 2015 CHL Canada Russia Series, being held in November.
McDonald, the Flames' second round pick in 2014, will split the goaltending duties with Samuel Montembeault.
The 19-year-old is 1-2-0 with a 3.33 GAA and a .898 save percentage in three appearances with the Charlottetown Islanders this season.
The Rouyn-Noranda Huskies will host the first game of the series on Nov. 17 and the Mooseheads will host the final game on Nov. 19.
Team WHL will face the Russians on Nov. 9 and Nov. 10 while Team OHL will square off against them on Nov. 12 and Nov. 16.
All six games will be televised on Sportsnet and TVA Sports.
