by Staff Writer / Calgary Flames
The Calgary Flames Better Halves and the CORE - Calgary Eaton Centre/TD Square are proud to announce the third annual Flames Better Halves Ultimate Ladies Night Out Presented by the CORE raised more than $90,000 for the Flames Foundation for Life.

The fundraiser took place on March 18th at Flames Central where over 600 women gathered for an evening full of giveaways. Event highlights included: a fashion show featuring the Better Halves – players’ significant others – as models, giveaways all evening and the chance to bid on baskets filled with “favourite things” courtesy of Flames players and their Better Halves. All outfits from the fashion show were given away to members of the audience in the form of gift cards from event partner the CORE - Calgary Eaton Centre/TD Square.
“Calgary is a special place to live; to have such a small town feel in a community with over a million people is a rarity. Women in this city have made this event the success that it is,” says Kristina Regehr. “Thank you for supporting us and the Flames Foundation for Life, a charity that we work hard for all year. It is amazing to be able to call a place like this home and really mean it when many of us come from all parts of Canada, the US and Europe.  The generosity of our sponsors, donors and ticket holders is truly appreciated."
Raffle prizes included a $10,000 diamond pendant from Jewels by Maxime’s, a trip for two from Air Canada, a Vive Rejuvenation package and a Personal Financial Plan developed and customized by Scotia Private Client Group with a $2,000 gift certificate for lingerie from Commitments Lingerie.
The Flames Foundation for Life, the charitable arm of the Flames Hockey Club, continues to touch the lives of thousands of people through its commitment to education, medical research, health, amateur sports and recreation.
