CALGARY, AB -- Defencemen Oliver Kylington and Adam Ollas Mattsson will suit up for Sweden at the 4 Nations Tournament, which runs August 25-30 in Dmitrov, Russia.
The Czech Republic, Finland, and Russia are also participating in the tournament.
Kylington was selected by the Flames in the second round (60th overall) in the 2015 NHL Draft. The 18-year-old split the 2014-15 season between Farjestad of the Swedish Hockey League, scoring two goals and five points in 18 games, and AIK of Sweden’s second division, where he had four goals and seven points in 17 games. He also suited up for 10 games with Farjestad’s junior team, registering four goals and seven points in 10 appearances.
In 2013-14, Kylington became the youngest player to score a goal in SHL history (16 years, 4 months, 10 days) after netting the game-winner in his Farjestad debut.
Internationally, the Stockholm product has represented Sweden at the 2014 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge and the 2014 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament. He was unable to participate in the 2015 World Junior Championship due to injury.
Ollas Mattsson was the Flames' sixth round selection (175th overall) in the 2014 NHL Draft. In 2014-15, the Stockholm native played for Djurgårdens in the Swedish Hockey League. In 34 games, he had two assists. He also spent time with Djurgårdens J20 team, amassing one goal and seven points in 19 games.
The 19-year-old played for Sweden at the 2013 IIHF World Under-18 Championship, registering one goal and three points in seven games. He also represented his country at the 2013 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament. In four games at the tournament, he was a plus-four.
Ollas Mattsson will play for Djurgårdens in 2015-16.
