Flames prospect Yan Kuznetsov has been named to Russia's final roster for the 2021 IIHF World Junior Championship.
The tournament will start on Dec. 25 in Edmonton in a bubble environment.

Kuznetsov, the Flames' second round pick in the 2020 NHL Draft, is currently in his sophomore season with U-Conn. He's played two games with the Huskies this season, posting one assist in those skates. He's coming off a strong freshman campaign, posting 11 points in 34 games as the youngest defender in the NCAA.
The defender has played for Russia at the U16, U17 and U18 levels.

Russia will play two pre-tournament games, facing Slovakia at 7:30 PM MT on Dec. 21 and then taking on Canada at 4:00 PM MT on Dec. 23. Kuznetsov and Russia's first game in the round robin will take place on Dec. 25 when they play the USA at 7:30 PM MT. Their full schedule is as follows:
