Klimchuk invited to Canada’s National Junior Team Sport Chek Selection Camp

CALGARY, AB -- Calgary Flames prospect Morgan Klimchuk is one of the 29 invitees to the Canadian National Junior Team Sport Chek Selection Camp.

Klimchuk has nine goals and 20 points in 18 games with the Regina Pats this season. The Calgary, AB product also played for Team WHL in the 2014 Subway Super Series.

The 19-year-old was selected in the first round (28th overall) in the 2013 NHL Draft.

Camp begins on Dec. 11 in Toronto and will wrap up on Dec. 15 in St. Catharines, ON.

The 2015 World Junior Championship will take place in Toronto and Montreal. The preliminary round of the tournament starts on Dec. 26 and runs through to Dec. 31 at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto and Bell Centre in Montreal. The medal round begins on Jan. 2, 2015 and runs until Jan. 5, 2015. The gold-medal game is scheduled for Jan. 5, 2015 in Toronto.
