by Staff Writer / Calgary Flames

CALGARY, AB -- Calgary Flames prospect Mark Jankowski has been named one of Providence College's alternate captains for the 2015-16 season.

He joins Kevin Rooney and Tom Parisi (co-captains) and Nick Saracino (alternate captain) in this year's leadership group at Providence.

The 21-year-old is entering his senior year with the Friars. In the 2014-15 campaign, he registered 27 points in 37 games. He scored the game-winning goal against Omaha in the 2015 Frozen Four semi-final and chipped in with a goal in Providence's 4-3 victory over Boston University to claim the national championship.

Jankowski was the 21st overall pick in the 2011 NHL Draft.
