Jankowski, Gillies, Gilmour & Providence's season comes to a close

CALGARY, AB -- Providence College's 2013-14 season has come to a close after they fell 3-1 to Union in the NCAA East Regional final on Saturday.

Jon Gillies, who backstopped his team to a 4-0 win over Quinnipiac on Friday, made 28 saves against Union. He finishes up his sophomore season with a 19-9-5 record, four shutouts to his name, a 2.16 GAA, and a .931 save percentage.

Mark Jankowski registered one shot on Saturday. In 39 games in his sophomore season, the Flames 2012 first round pick scored 13 goals, 25 points, and was a plus-15. Three of his 13 tallies were game-winners.

The forward was named to the East Regional All-Tournament Team on Saturday afternoon.

Defenceman John Gilmour also played in 39 games, leading all Providence rearguards with 18 points on the year. Gilmour is a sophomore at Providence.
