Irving leads Everett against Hitmen Sunday

Leland Irving, the Calgary Flames top draft pick in 2006 and who is touted as the goalie of the future in Calgary, leads the Everett Silvertips against the Calgary Hitmen in Western Hockey League action Sunday at the Pengrowth Saddledome.

Irving was recently named to compete in the 2007 ADT Canada - Russia Challenge, held in Cranbrook, British Columbia on Wednesday, November 8th, and in Medicine Hat, Alberta on Thursday, November 29th.

It will be the second appearance in the ADT Canada - Russia Challenge for Irving.

Irving, a 1988-born goaltender from Swan Hills, Alberta, has posted a record of 7-5 with a 2.88 goals against average over 13 games this season.

Irving was also a member of the Team Canada squad that went 7-0-1 against Russia in the Canada - Russia Super Series.
