- The Calgary Flames sit fifth in the Western Conference and third in the Pacific Division with a 13-7-2 record and 28 points. The Anaheim Ducks lead the West with a 13-4-5 record and 31 points.

- Last year, Calgary went 1-3-0 against Anaheim. Their lone victory came on Mar. 12, 2014 when they thumped the Ducks 7-2 at the Scotiabank Saddledome.

- The Flames have faced the Ducks once this year. They defeated Anaheim 4-3 in a shootout on Nov. 18. Sean Monahan scored the shootout winner.

- The first stop on the Flames three-game road trip is Anaheim, where they will look for their first win in the Honda Center since Jan. 19, 2004. Since that date, the Flames have dropped 18 games in Anaheim.

- Monahan is one of the League's best in the shootout with a 66.7 shooting percentage. He has scored on two of his three shootout attempts this season. One of those tallies has been the deciding goal in the game.

- Monahan has won 232 draws this season, which ranks in the top 10 in the NHL.

- Kris Russell's 60 blocked shots is tied for top spot in the NHL with Josh Gorges.

- Johnny Gaudreau's 21 takeaways is tied for second in the League with Tyler Bozak. Leo Komarov, Rick Nash, and Ryan O'Reilly lead the NHL with 23 takeaways each.

- Mark Giordano is fourth in the NHL in assists with 17. He leads all NHL defencemen in scoring with 23 points through 22 games.

- Dennis Wideman and Monahan lead the Flames in goals scored with eight each.
