- Calgary sits in fifth in the Western Conference with a 12-7-2 record and 26 points. The Anaheim Ducks lead the West with 29 points on the year.

- Mark Giordano leads all NHL defencemen in scoring with 22 points on the year and is among the top ten in the League in scoring.

- Dennis Wideman leads all NHL defencemen in goals scored with eight.

- Jiri Hudler leads all Flames forwards in scoring with six goals and 15 points. Sean Monahan leads all Calgary forwards with eight goals through 21 games.

- Kris Russell has blocked 56 shots this season, which ranks second in the League.

- Johnny Gaudreau's 21 takeaways has him sitting third in the NHL in that category.

- Just 21 games into the season, Paul Byron is just two goals shy of his career-high (seven in 47 games in 2013-14). He has five goals and 10 points this year.

- The Flames went 2-0-0 against the New Jersey Devils in the 2013-14 season. They downed the Devils 3-2 in Calgary on Oct. 11, 2013 and picked up a 1-0 victory in Newark on Apr. 7, 2014.

- Karri Ramo was in net for the Flames 1-0 victory, one his two shutouts last season.

- Giordano led the Flames in scoring against the Devils with two goals and three points in a pair of games. Hudler had three assists in the season series while Wideman rounded out the top three in scoring against New Jersey with one goal and two points.
