- As of Wednesday morning, Calgary sits third in the Pacific Division and fifth in the Western Conference with a 16-8-2 record and 34 points. They are one point back of the West-leading Anaheim Ducks.

- The Flames lead all Western Conference teams with 80 goals scored this season and are third in the League in that regard. They have scored 53 five-on-five goals, which ranks fourth in the NHL.

- 42 of the Flames goals have been scored on the road, which is second amongst Western Conference clubs.

- The Flames face off against the Colorado Avalanche on Thursday (7:00 PM MT - Sportsnet One). They went 1-2-0 against the Avalanche in the 2013-14 season. They picked up their victory in Denver on Jan. 6, 2014, downing the Avs 4-3.

- Jiri Hudler led the Flames in scoring against the Avs last year, netting one goal and five points.

- Hudler is currently riding a five-game point streak. He has 10 points in that span.

- Sean Monahan enters Thursday's game with a four-game point streak. He has one goal and four points in that stretch.

- Johnny Gaudreau sits second in rookie scoring with 19 points on the year. Josh Jooris is sixth in rookie scoring with 12 points in 19 games. Jooris is tied for second in goals scored by a rookie with eight and is tied for first in power play goals scored by a rookie with four this season.

- Over the past 20 games, Gaudreau has averaged 0.95 points-per-game.

- Mark Giordano leads all NHL defencemen in scoring with six goals and 26 points. TJ Brodie is second amongst all blueliners with six goals and 21 points.

- Kris Russell is second amongst all NHL skaters with 70 blocked shots.

- Lance Bouma leads all Flames with 77 hits on the year.
