Hitmen ready to force Game 7

Joel Broda had two goals and an assist to lead the Calgary Hitmen to a 6-1 win over the Kelowna Rockets in Game 5 of the Western Hockey League Championship Series. 

The win keeps the Hitmen alive in the best-of-seven although the Rockets hold a 3-2 series lead. 

Kris Foucault, Brett Sonne, Alex Plante and Rigby Burgart also scored for Calgary who built period leads of 1-0 and 4-1.

The Hitmen outshot the Rockets 50-19 as 17 Hitmen had at least one shot on goal. 

Cody Sylvester, Brandon Kozun and Jason MacDonald each had two assist for Calgary who have won back-to-back games.

The series now shifts to Kelowna for Game 6 on Saturday night.

Tickets for Game 7 Monday in Calgary are on sale now at all Ticketmaster locations or by calling Customer Service at 777-4646.  Fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets ahead of time to get the best seats available and avoid potential lineups.

A full refund will be given if necessary.
