Hitmen name new director of business ops

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen Hockey Club announced today Mike Moore as the club’s new Director of Business Operations. 

“We are excited to have Mike on board,” said Hitmen General Manager Kelly Kisio.  “His business knowledge and years of experience in the Western Hockey League will be a huge asset to our franchise.”
Mike’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Calgary. 
In his most recent position with Edge School in Calgary, Moore was the Director of Athletics.  Mike has also served as a General Manger in the Western Hockey League with both the Kamloops Blazers and Medicine Hat Tigers and was the Hitmen Assistant General Manger in 1997/98.
“I’m extremely pleased and honored to join the Calgary Hitmen Hockey Club,” said Moore.  “Since my first tour in 1997/98, the organization has experienced significant growth and success both on the ice and in the community.  I am looking forward to working with the Hitmen fans, sponsors, players and staff and continuing this trend.” 
The Hitmen at 6-2-0-0 lead the WHL’s Central Division with 12 points.  They return to action this weekend travelling to Lethbridge on Friday before hosting the Saskatoon Blades on Sunday.  Game time is 5:00 p.m. at the Pengrowth Saddledome.
