Sven Baertschi extended his point streak to six games when he scored the second period's lone goal at 10:00. The Flames 2011 first round pick has registered four goals and eight points through his last six outings.

Nathan Beaulieu got the Bulldogs on the board in the third period, with a power play tally at 3:59. However, Max Reinhart iced the win for the Heat with an empty-netter late in the period.
