Heat Stats Update: 06.01.14

by Torie Peterson / Calgary Flames

CALGARY, AB -- During his first few games with the Abbotsford Heat this season, Sven Baertschi struggled offensively. He couldn't find his rhythm and was held pointless in his first four games.

With two goals in his last three games, it appears the Swiss winger is getting back into the swing of things.

Skating on a line with Finnish pivot Markus Granlund and veteran Adrian Foster, Baertschi has found success and has been generating more scoring chances.

"It's important for us to get him going," head coach Troy G. Ward said after Friday's game against the Hamilton Bulldogs. "He has a little bit more of a focus to him, because he dropped down from the NHL and at one particular time, maybe not too long ago, he was – and maybe still is in a lot of ways – the eyes of the franchise moving forward. It's important that he score goals."
