CALGARY, AB -- In their third game in as many days, the Abbotsford Heat fell 6-4 to the Toronto Marlies.
The Marlies opened the scoring in the second period, with a goal from T.J. Brennan, but the Heat responded by scoring three goals.
Max Reinhart picked up a power play goal at the 7:04 mark of the second stanza, Brett Olson added another tally with the man advantage, and Ben Street scored his 27th goal of the season at 10:17.
Toronto answered back with three goals of their own before the period came to a close - Jamie Devane Greg McKegg, and Tyler Biggs all beat Joni Ortio - but Abbotsford defenceman Shane O'Brien tied things up at the 19:55 mark.
Sven Baertschi assisted on O'Brien's tally, giving him 11 points in his last 10 games.
The Marlies pulled ahead in the final stanza and the Heat couldn't generate any offence for a comeback. Josh Leivo and Carter Ashton scored Toronto's fifth and sixth goals respectively.
Ortio made 21 saves on 27 shots.
