Gordon, Arnold to don A's with respective clubs

CALGARY, AB -- Calgary Flames prospects Coda Gordon and Bill Arnold have been named assistant captains of their respective teams, the Swift Current Broncos and the Boston College Eagles.

Gordon is in his third season with the Broncos and is coming off a career year that saw him post 59 points (17 goals, 42 assists) in 70 regular season games and 4 points (2 goals, 2 assists) in 5 postseason games.

The Cochrane, AB product was selected by the Flames in the sixth round (165th overall) of the 2012 NHL Draft.

Arnold is entering his senior season at Boston College. The Needham, MA scored 17 goals, tying a career-high, and registered 35 points through 38 games in the 2012-13 campaign, good for fourth in team scoring. His .92 points-per-game average last year is a new collegiate career-high for Arnold.

"Bill Arnold had a terrific year for us and now he is ready to cap it off with his best year coming up," Boston College head coach Jerry York told bceagles.com.

The Flames drafted Arnold in the fourth round (108th overall) of the 2010 NHL Draft.
