CALGARY, AB -- Calgary Flames prospect Jon Gillies has been tabbed as Hockey East's Goaltender of the Month for November.
The 20-year-old went 5-2-0 over seven games last month with a 0.86 GAA and a .973 save percentage. He registered a NCAA-leading three shutouts in November.
He closed out the month with back-to-back shutouts and his personal shutout streak currently sits at 161:24.
Gillies was also named Hockey East's Defensive Player of the Week on Dec. 1 after stopping all 64 shots he paired in a pair of games last week. He made 22 saves in a 3-0 win over Army on Nov. 25 and made 43 saves in a 1-0 victory over Boston University on Nov. 29.
The Flames selected Gillies in the third round (75th overall) of the 2012 NHL Draft. He is in his junior season with the Providence Friars.
