CALGARY, AB -- On Saturday, Calgary Flames prospect Johnny Gaudreau extended his point streak to 29 games with a goal in Boston College's 2-1 loss to Notre Dame.
The setback, which curbed Boston College's unbeaten streak at 19 games, is the first game the Eagles have lost when Gaudreau has scored a goal.
It was the fifth-consecutive game Gaudreau has tallied a power play goal and sixth-straight outing with a goal. The Flames 2011 fourth round pick product has amassed 27 goals and 56 points over the course of the streak.
The streak is just two games shy of the Hockey East single-season record, set by Paul Kariya in the 1992-93 campaign.
Gaudreau leads the nation in scoring with 30 goals and 64 points in 34 games. He has been held off the scoresheet just once this season.
