Gaudreau's point streak hits 25 games

CALGARY, AB -- Johnny Gaudreau cannot be stopped.

The 20-year-old NCAA phenom extended his point streak to 25 games on Friday night, scoring Boston College's second goal against Vermont in their 4-2 victory. He has recorded 51 points (23 goals and 28 assists) in that span.

The Flames fourth round pick in the 2011 NHL Draft leads the nation in scoring with 59 points in 30 games, averaging 1.97 points-per-game. Boston College is 23-3-3 when Gaudreau notches a point and are 19-0-1 when he scores a goal.

Gaudreau is in the mix for the 2014 Hobey Baker Award, which is given to the nation's top player. He was in the 2013 Hobey Baker Hat Trick but lost out to St. Cloud State's Drew LeBlanc.
