Frolik named to Czech Republic World Cup roster

CALGARY, AB -- Calgary Flames right winger Michael Frolik has been named to the Czech Republic's initial 16-man roster for the 2016 World Cup of Hockey roster.

The Kladno, CZE product has scored 11 goals and 25 points in his first 51 games with the Flames. He signed a multi-year contract with the Flames in the off-season.

He has represented his country on multiple occasions, including the World Junior Championships, World Championships, and Olympics.

The World Cup of Hockey will run Sept. 17 to Oct. 1 in Toronto and coincides with the start of NHL training camps
