Calgary, AB – The Calgary Flames announce a 14-game television broadcast package of Flames pay-per-view for the 2007-08 season.

With the 14 game Flames pay-per-view schedule, the Calgary Flames will have 77 of their 82 game regular season schedule broadcast in the Calgary market on television by Sportsnet (43), CBC (14), and TSN (6), which will be the highest number in franchise history.

“Our broadcast schedule continues to grow along with our fan base, and we are pleased to be able have a franchise high 77 games available on television this season in the Calgary market,” said Flames Vice-President of Marketing & Advertising, Jim Bagshaw. “We have a quality line-up for our pay-per-view schedule this season featuring one of the NHL’s best players in Washington’s Alexander Ovechkin, Calgary’s first visit back to Tampa Bay since the 2004 Stanley Cup Final, key divisional games, and match-ups against conference opponents in Dallas, Detroit, and San Jose.”

Flames pay-per-view broadcasts will bring the fan closer to the team through unique and non-traditional behind the scene access. The broadcast team will provide in-depth analysis on the team and the NHL while introducing the Flames to the fan on a more personal level.

Joining Roger Millions in the broadcast booth for all Flames Pay-per-view games this season will be colour commentator Charlie Simmer, former NHL great and famed member of the “Triple Crown” line. New to the broadcast team this year is Deb Matejicka, who will fill the role as game night host. Matejicka brings ten years of television experience and has covered the Calgary Flames for The Score for the past 5 years.
